Here is a before and after of a basement in Cambridge. We got rid of the old tank and mounted the Tankless on the wall that was not being used.
We were also able to relocate the salt tank for the Softener and make the entire mechanical room more compact when they finish their basement in the future. Also, look at those nasty water marks their old leaking tank left behind.
